This series of works is my debut on Art Blocks - the first of its kind platform focused on genuinely programmable on demand generative content that is stored immutably on the Ethereum Blockchain.

GIFCinema is a net-art website generating audio-visual experiences that are constructed in real-time and are unique to each viewer and view.
Initiated by the viewer’s search for a film title (the ‘seed’), three generative systems and several different APIs - animated visuals, real-time speech synthesis and search algorithms that prove to be fairly unexpected - are combined to create a new type of generative experience.
The result is a new type of film, crowd-sourced from the visual wisdom of the web, constructing a visual zeitgeist of web pop-culture in real time.

Unique custom-made projects (and custom made software) that create animations rendering in real-time, allowing endless various generative outcomes for each time and location.
The live animations react to the environment in various ways:

A generative experience evolving around Super Mario
The setup included an old-school CRT television with modified NES controllers that allowed viewers to control and generate the video in real-time, reaching an endless amount of variations for each loop.
A personal homage to my childhood memories from this video-game masterpiece, with a reference to a work by fellow artist Cory Arcangel and his work Super Mario Clouds.
